In September 2024 Emely joined the Human-Computer Interaction Group at THI/CARISSMA.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Media Engineering at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg and her master’s degree in User Experience Design at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. In her master thesis, she explored the influence of time pressure and AI explanations on confirmation bias in digital pathology through a quantitative expert study. She is especially interested in cognitive biases and their effect on AI-assisted medical decision-making, therefore she aims to support the safe deployment of AI systems into clinical practice.
