The FeliFly passenger drone prototype was originally developed to explore user needs along a customer journey of a drone flight. It measures 2.6 m x 1.92 m x 2.3 m when closed and has two exits, one with a side door and one with a ramp. These exits ensure that the prototype can also be used together with participants with special needs. FeliFly offers a nearly 180° panoramic view, realized by two 43″ monitors as side screens and a projector on the front of the prototype. In addition, a signage screen is used to display relevant flight information and safety briefings. A remotely controllable lighting system simulates different flight phases and times of day or even enhances the immersion of critical flight situations using different color codes. A 5.1 surround sound system provides noise and sound simulation.
