In September 2018 Franziska joined the research project “Mensch in Bewegung” as a research assistant at the THI. She obtained her diploma in environmental engineering specializing in measurement technology from the University of Applied Sciences Jena in 2007. From 2008 to 2012 she worked at the research institute DESY in Hamburg as a technical employee in different research fields (ATLAS, FLC, TPC) and has done e.g. thermomechanical and cooling simulations. In May 2013, she graduated from the City University of Applied Sciences Bremen receiving her Master of Science in locomotion in bionics. From June 2013 to August 2018 Franziska worked at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg as a research assistant in flow control via bionic-inspired micro-pillars and flaps and did different experiments on wall shear stress measurements for example inside an aorta.
Since September 2018, Franziska is actively involved in several projects at TH Ingolstadt. She is the author and conceptual originator of the Pixi booklet “Die Stufen des automatisierten Fahrens” published in July 2023. She has also been involved in developing an integrated digital AAM airport for intermodal travel chains, focusing on acceptance, user, and design studies as part of the “AmiFlyingin2Air” project. Furthermore, she played a key role in planning and designing the Wissenschaftsgallerie “Innovative Mobilität” in Ingolstadt in 2022. In the academic realm, she delivered an online lecture on “Automatisiertes Fahren: Potenziale für nachhaltige Mobilität” during the “Modernes nachhaltiges Leben” series in the winter semester 2020/21 and has been a lecturer for the course “Human Factors in Automated Driving” in the summer semester 2020.
