Niklas is a researcher at CARISSMA and Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI). He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in User Experience Design at THI. For his bachelor thesis at AUDI AG, he developed a multimodal system for adaptive workload management during vehicle use. His master thesis focused on designing a display and feedback concept based on the idea of explainable artificial intelligence to foster trust in automated vehicles (SAE level 3 and 4).
He joined the Human-Computer Interaction Group at THI/CARISSMA as a researcher in June 2022, focusing on teleoperation of automated shuttle busses, its user perception, and acceptance.
